ALL ABOUT PROFESSIONAL YEAR ACCOUNTING

Accounting PYP (Formerly SMIPA) is a professional year program for accounting graduates developed by CPA Australia, ICA (Institute of Chartered Accountants), and IPA (Institute of Public Accountants). The curriculum is designed to assist foreign accounting graduates develop abilities that will allow them to flourish in their careers.

Furthermore, candidates who successfully complete the programme are entitled for 5 extra points on the Department of Home Affairs points exam.

$6000 – $13,000

44 weeks (minimum) including 32 weeks training in-class and 12 weeks internship placement.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR PY ACCOUNTING?

Candidates must hold a recognised accounting degree with a minimum of two years of credit points. The course must have been completed in at least three years (18 months).

Candidates must be in possession of, or have filed for, a visa 485 (Temporary Graduate Visa) with a minimum validity of 12 months.

Candidates must present a valid skills evaluation from a professional accounting organisation.

A minimum IELTS score of 6 with a minimum score of 6 across all bands OR a PTE score of 50 overall with a minimum score of 50 across all bands.
