ALL ABOUT PROFESSIONAL YEAR ENGINEERING

EEA created the Professional Year Program in Engineering (Engineering Education Australia). This 44-week program assists overseas engineering graduates in gaining critical insights into Australian workplace expectations, developing employability skills, and becoming job-ready. Furthermore, candidates who successfully complete the program are entitled to 5 extra points on the Department of Home Affairs points exam.

It is a thorough curriculum that includes rigorous training and an internship experience to prepare students for employment in the Australian workplace.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR PY IN ENGINEERING?

Candidates must have obtained an engineering undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Australia.

Candidates must be in possession of, or have filed for, a visa 485 (Temporary Graduate Visa) with a minimum validity of 12 months.

To demonstrate English proficiency, applicants must have an overall score of 6 in IELTS with a minimum of 5 in each band OR a minimum overall score of 50 in PTE Academic with a minimum of 36 in all test bands.

Candidates must provide a valid Engineering Education Australia skills assessment.
