Requirements
You must be a parent or someone who has custody of the student, or a relative who is 21 years or older and has been nominated in writing by a parent or someone who has custody of the student, and not bring family members younger than 6 years of age, except in certain circumstances, and be able to provide housing, general welfare, and other support to the student unless you are applying for this visa with the support of the government of your home country.
To be eligible for this visa, you must meet the following requirements:
be a parent or someone with custody of the student, or a relative 21 years of age or older who has been nominated in writing by a parent or someone with custody of the student
Except under specific circumstances, do not bring family members under the age of six.
Unless you are applying for this visa with the backing of your home country’s government, you must be able to offer accommodation, general welfare, and other support to the student.
You should also:
fulfill health and personality standards
sufficient funds to maintain yourself, any dependents accompanying you, and the student
have adequate health insurance for yourself and any dependents accompanying you do not owe any money to the Australian government or have made arrangements to repay any money owed only stay in Australia and temporarily submit biometric details if requested
Cost
You must have enough money to support yourself, the student, and any children accompanying you for the duration of your stay in Australia. This will be stated in your visa application.
You must demonstrate financial capability by delivering one of the following:
evidence of finances to pay travel expenses and a year’s worth of living expenses for yourself and any other children accompanying you
Evidence showing your spouse (who is not traveling to Australia) will support you and your dependents and earns at least AUD 70,000 per year.
Minimum 12-months’ living cost for your stay in Australia
Documents in languages other than English must be translated into English. Your translator must be accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters if you are in Australia. If you are not in Australia, contact the Australian mission in the country where the documents were issued for a translation.
