Course-Related Documents
Additionally, you need to provide formal documentation of your enrollment in the course, like an acceptance letter from your university. The course name, duration, and total fee (including lodging, if required) should all be included in this letter.
Additional documents may be required based on your personal circumstances, such as proof of:
- Depending on your specific situation, more documentation can be needed, like verification of:
- Your current legal situation in the nation from which you are applying (if you are not a national)
- What your financial sponsor does for a living or how much money they have to support your education
- Regarding Applicants Less than 18
- If you are under eighteen, you must provide extra documentation if:
- You are traveling with someone other than your parent or legal guardian, or you are going alone.
Traveling Alone
You can go to the UK without the approval of an adult (18 years of age or older), but you’ll need a formal permission from your legal guardian or both parents, if one has exclusive custody. This permission needs to attest to approval for:
- Your application for a visa
- Your UK housing and medical care arrangements
- Your journey to the United Kingdom
Your parent or guardian must also provide proof of your accommodation during your stay, including:
- The name and birthdate of the person you’ll stay with
- The address where you’ll be living
- Your relationship to this person
- Written consent from the person agreeing to look after you while in the UK
Your parent, guardian, or school must tell the local authorities if you are disabled or if you will be in private foster care, which is when someone other than a close relative takes care of you for longer than 28 days. Include any response you have received from the local government with your application.
Traveling with an Adult
If you’re traveling with an adult (someone 18 or older), their name must be listed in your visa application. This adult’s name will appear on your visa, and you’ll be refused entry if you arrive without them.
You can list up to 2 adults, and your visa will only be valid if you travel with at least one of them. They can apply for a visa at the same time, but separate applications are required.
